There is a toggle yes/no button that says “Show other future repeating instances of this event on event card”. The way I think it means, is that for recurring events, it won’t show all events, just one. So if I have a daily event for 20 days, it won’t show all 20, just one. If that is how it’s supposed to work, then it’s not working. No matter if I toggle yes, or toggle no, it always shows all events in a recurring series.
Apr 13,2017 AT 1:23AM - 4 years ago -If this functionality does not exist, how am I supposed to show a recurring event just once? Simply put the start date and end date as different? The bad part about that is the times get messed up when you do this. Because the start time is on one day, and the end time is on another day.
This is the event in question:

Hi,
So, if you want to show only one instance of a repeating event, then you can just add hide_mult_occur=”yes” parameter in the shortcode. So, your shortcode will look something like this:
[add_eventon hide_mult_occur=”yes”]
Hi Ashish,
I added that to the shortcode that runs the eventon, but all recurring events in a series are still showing.

Hi,
Maybe I did not understand what you wanted correctly.
Because hiding recurring events seems to be working fine with hide_mult_occur=”yes” parameter.
Check the ajde-test event I created on the calendar. It only shows one instance of the event. If you remove hide_mult_occur=”yes” parameter, all instances of the event will show up on the calendar.
hmmm…. but you are not modifying the time? you’ve made the event all day from the 24th – 25th for the start and end times.
If I change the time to 2017/04/24 at 8am – 2017/04/24 at 10am, it adds the recurring event 7 times.
So maybe I’m confused at how this is supposed to work. Are you saying that
a) I should not add times?
b) or make times like this: 2017/04/24 at 8am – 2017/05/01 at 10am
if b), what is the point of having a recurring event?
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
To answer you initial question;
That option will show ALL the future repeating instances in the event card. If you dont want other repeating times of the same event to not show then please disable this option.
Thank you Ashan! It was so simple, I’m not sure why I didn’t see that. This ticket can be closed. Thanks again.
