Hi there,
I've been using EventOn and its Ticket Addon with WordPress/WooCommerce for almost a decade!
I manage two types of courses that share many similarities:
- Same venue
- Similar number of seats
- Similar pricing
- Only differences are course names, descriptions, and images
Current Process and Issues:
When scheduling these courses for different dates (which don't follow a regular pattern), I've been duplicating the events in WordPress/WooCommerce. This approach has created several problems:
- Need to manually change WooCommerce product names
- Need to modify SKUs to avoid duplicates
- Most critically: When a seat is booked for one event, it affects the seat availability across all duplicated events
Example:
If I duplicate an event for multiple Saturdays in a month (similar to duplicating WordPress posts), booking a seat in any one of these events changes the seat count in all duplicated versions.
Question:
I need a solution to:
- Easily duplicate these two course events for different dates
- Maintain separate seat counts and attendee lists for each instance
- Avoid the current synchronization issues between duplicated events
So, would the Repeat Customizer feature help solve these problems? Is there a better approach I should consider?
Thanks!
kind regards
Pedro
Hello,
What’s you current version of EventON and Tickets?
Current version when you duplicate an event, generates a new SKU dynamically for each duplicate. Also creates a new product with unique name.
