We use the rsvp module and when someone registers for an event it is sending the confirmation to the email address we have it set to in the settings of the module, but it also sends it to another email address we do not have in the settings set to.
Is this module grabbing another email from somewhere else in wordpress or possibly a setting in eventon I missed? I cannot find where or why this module is sending it to two emails and not just the one email we have in the settings.
Sep 16,2021 AT 7:51AM - 2 years ago -Hi Nick,
Please update both Eventon and the eventon addons to the latest version and then check if this fixes your issue.
To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. This link will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!
To update eventon addons: You can download latest eventon addons from myeventon > my account. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old addon and install new one and activate then delete the old addon. This link will further explain the process. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!
I updated eventon and it did not do anything. Is there anything in the update details that said this was fixed in it?
It seems like it is pulling an emial from somewhere else. Do you have any guesses on where we should look?
Hello,
Please also update RSVP add-on.
Could you also tell us how do you know that it sends out emails to two emails? Please also send us them so we can check.
please see image below. I cant update RSVP. can you please just take a look
i had a look and your current rsvp version 2.6.12 is not compatible with 3.1+ (eventon is now at 3.1.7)
however i see you have a customization which we don’t know what that does so who did that customization?
i cannot access the myeventon>>>>>settings
when you have a customized variation of eventon- you need to contact by name the person who did the customization as the staff here don’t know who does what kind of customizations- they are the ones to tell you to update so tell us who did the customization and we can assign them
now with regards to this event: https://staginghrs.wpengine.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=47401&action=edit
you have set that to send to training@hawkridgesys.com
is that the right email address or the second unwanted email?
thats it!! that is the other place the email is. thank you! I knew there was another spot. So, it is sending to two emails becuase it is set to one email in the setting area and to another email on each event.
is there by chance an easy way to delete that email address that lives on each event? I have hundreds events. thanks so much for your help!!
Sort of
Step 1: grab a beer, coffee or coke
Step 2: put on your favourite music
Step 3: go to events
step 4: right click the edit event and open in a new window
step 5- open as many events on that page that have RSVP
step 6- remove the email address and save
step 7: as the event is saving- move onto the next event and repeat
step 8: by the time you get to the end of that list – all the pages should have saved so you can close them down
step 9: go to the second page and then go back to step 4
Step 10: by the time you get to page 6 of the events it might be time to drink something harder like a scotch or vodka
or if your website has cpanel you could simply set up email conditions so that if training@hawkridgesys.com recieves an email where the subject line contains “New training registration notification”
delete it
so it will be sent but it gets auto deleted and no one is the wiser. that all depends on your host
i wouldn’t recommend stuffing around with the database and that would be outside the scope of this helpdesk
hahahaha! thanks dude! best support ever.
