Schedule Add-On

  • Hello,

    We have purchased the Speakers & Schedule Add-On.

    We have an event that spans over 5 days, but the days are not consecutive. For Example: Day 1 – January 5th, Day 2 – January 6th, Day 3 – January 10th, Day 4 – January 12th.

    When we are setting the days for the Schedule, it shows that January 10th is Day 7 but we want it to show Day 3 since this will be technically the 3rd day of the event and so forth.

    Is there any way to make this possible?

    Right now we show: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 15, Day 16, Day 17. Day 15 should be Day 4, Day 16 should be Day 5, Day 17 should be Day 6.

    Hope that makes sense, thank you.

    Sergio

      Can you give us username/password for your website?

      We will need to check this inside.

      Also, make sure you have the latest version of the main plugin and other addons first.

      Sergio, from what I can understand what you need to do is change the repeat style to custom so you can select exact days the event will take place. In a way you can skip the weekends off the event days for selection for the schedule. Is that not a viable option for you?

      Yes that sounds like it could work. Our client has events that take place over a course of 5 – 7 different days. So it may be that the event is a 5 day event: Day 1 = January 1, Day 2 = January 2, Day 3 = January 10, Day 4 = January 11, Day 5 = January 21, Day 6 = January 22.

      What type of solution are you thinking of implementing?

      Thank you.

      Sorry just to add, it wouldn’t be JUST the weekends that get skipped as she will also be running event days on weekends as well. So it would have to be flexible to treat each day (weekday or weekend) as a regular event day.

      Thank you.

      Here is your solution http://www.myeventon.com/documentation/setting-up-repeating-events/

      custom repeat type. There you can add which day you want to event repeat and then when you select days for schedule it will show Day 3 as January 10th instead of January 3rd.

      Hello,

      This is not exactly how our client wants it as the Event doesn’t repeat the same schedule. The Scheduling Add-On works perfectly except for the way it displays the days. The event is broken up into different days and times and on the different days there are different events scheduled.

      Day 1 – Jan.1 : 9:00AM – 4:00PM “Orientation”

      Day 2 – Jan.2 : 9:00AM – 1:30PM “AAA” : 3:00PM – 5:00PM “BBB”

      Day 3 – Jan.3 : 1:30PM – 4:00PM “CCC”

      Day 4 – Jan.10 : 9:00AM – 4:00PM “DDD”

      Day 5 – Jan.11 : 2:00PM – 5:00PM “CCC”

       Thank you.

      Please send me your wp-admin so I can get a better understanding of what you need. But I have a feeling schedule addon is not able to do what you want.

      No, I don’t think it does without modification.

      I applied a jQuery fix in the frontend to re-write the Days in consecutive order in the .evosch_nav list.

      Sorry, I responded via email but I don’t think it updated here.

      Here is what I implemented to show consecutive “Days”:

      jQuery(document).ready(function($){

                      if ($(“.evo_metarow_schedule”).length){

                                      count = 1;

                                      $(‘.evosch_nav li’).each(function(){

                                                      getEM = $(this).children(“em”).html();

                                                      $(this).html(“Day “+count+” <em>”+getEM+”</em>”);

                                                      count++;

                                      });

                      }

      })
