Apr 18,2017 AT 4:38AM - 3 years ago -This depends on what you mean by setting seo. Applying seo guidelines can be any number of things. So, using third-party plugins like yoast should enable you to add meta tags, keywords, titles etc.
As for why the pages are not appearing, it could be any number of reason, and not linked to eventon plugin at all.
To get good ranking, you need to implement both onsite & offsite SEO methods.
You know the events in EventON calendar passes correct SEO schema data for search engines and that is all we can do, the way this data is handled by google is out of our control.
Also it seems like the second item it a link to all events page rather than just one event.
Thanks again for the fast reply.
I mean that is strange that in a single event schema data display perfect, but in event list no schema data is display.
I’ll be grateful if you can review the schema data for event lists
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
Ok so for the event lists page, eventon does not do anything to for sending schema for search engines. This is when you should use a plugin like YOAST SEO to add custom SEO you need for this page. because event list is a regular page with eventon shortcode in it.
Hope that make sense ?
Eventon can only add schema for each events not for an event list that has to be done to the entire page as a whole.
Congrats! and this is like after 2 months? so make sure you are updating on latest eventon 2.5.5 and let us know if the issue still continue.
Oh ok well if you think that is the case I would suggest you send them a message and see if they can shed some light 🙂
?
I will try, but i feel, they are not going to solved the issue.
yea i dont think so either, but it seems like the page meta data that is present to search engines is what will determine the way the events will look in the search results. And eventon have all the necessary Schema data and JSON-LD data in place for proper google search result display. So there is nothing much we can do if this is being caused by WPML. Other than suggesting you to use another translating plugin.
Honestly we had several issues with WPML and we tried to work with them and after taking long time they solved nothing. qTranslator is another great solution we have used before.
Sounds good.
