Ticket #280975 Public [Closed]

Shortcodes appear to be not working

I’ve used the following shortcodes on my site:

[add_eventon tiles=”yes” tile_bg=”1″ tile_style=”1″ tile_count=”1″ add_eventon evc_open=”yes” fixed_month=”7″ fixed_year=”2022″]

But it is still showing June instead of July. You can see here:
https://portorfordartscouncil.org/

In the past I’ve tried using the following:

[add_eventon tiles=”yes” tile_bg=”1″ tile_style=”1″ tile_count=”1″ evc_open=”yes” number_of_months=”6″ hide_empty_months=”yes”]

But even though I have it set to hide empty months, it never does so.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
braymond

      Hello,

      Please update EventON to 4.0.6.

To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. This link will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!

PS If you want to keep the old design go to EventON Settings > Event Top > Select Default Calendar EventTop Style: Clear with left border colors and gaps.

I got really busy and so just got back to this. I re-downloaded and installed the plug-in, but the settings are showing it is version 3.17. I guess I’m not getting the latest download from my account…?

      [add_eventon fixed_month=”7″ fixed_year=”2022″ tiles=”yes” tile_count=”3″ tile_style=”1″ tile_bg=”1″]

Thank you for your quick reply. The changed code worked. So, I was doing the specific month because I have some months where there are no events and I want to avoid having people come to the site and see just No Events. However, I also don’t want to have to manually change the month out. What I  would really like is to have the three next events on the home page whatever month they are in. Does that mean I should use the list setting instead of the calendar setting? And then I’d like to show more events on the Events page. Are those two things doable? I’ve enabled admin access for the account.

      Hello,

You need to use Event Lists: Ext add-on

      https://www.myeventon.com/addons/event-lists-extended/

      Try this shortcode on https://dev.myeventon.com/wp-admin/:

      [add_eventon_el number_of_months=”12″ event_count=”3″ event_count_list=”yes” hide_empty_months=”yes”]

OK, that’s too bad. We are a non-profit and can’t pay yearly for that. But I appreciate your fixing my wayward shortcodes!

      Thanks,
      Becky
