Slider addon not working

  • My event slider was working fine, but now it displays ‘ No Events’. The events are displaying OK in the full calendar view (well, other than events that are set to repeat on the fifth Friday of a month drop into the next month when there are only four weeks in the month)

Ok so the slider work fine http://www.upsidedownbar.com/ajde-test/

take a look at the shortcode i used in that page. You have to give enough months in advanced for the slider to use for generating slides.

I’d corrected the mobile versions to two months, but not the desktop versions. Thanks.

Can you help with the other query please – on four week months events that are set to repeat on the fifth Friday of each month appear in the next month (rather than not displaying at all)

Sorry. Can you elaborate a little more?

I do not understand your issue.

I have an event that is set up to repeat on the last Friday of every month. On months where there are only four Fridays, I’d like the event to not be shown. At the moment, the event appears on the first Friday of the subsequent month (which is incorrect and clashes with another event)

Sorry, to clarify, the event is et up to repeat on the fifth Friday of every month, not the last.

What is the shortcode you are using for it?
      Please post it here.

      [add_eventon show_et_ft_img=”yes” ux_val=”3″ jumper=”yes” exp_so=”yes” tiles=”yes” jumper_offset=”2″ tile_count=”3″ ]

So, this is not an issue on slider?

Because the shortcode you have posted is for basic calendar.

It’s an issue on both the slider and the basic calendar

I had originally set up one ‘DJ’s Finest Friday’ event to repeat every Friday and there was no problem or issue. Since handing the site over to the client, they have now created five separate events for ‘DJ’s Finest Friday’ – although the listing is the same, each one has a different event image (to add variety when viewed across the month). The problem comes from the one that is set up to repeat on the fifth Friday of each month; because in months when there are only four weeks, it displays on the first Friday of the following month (instead of not showing). The pic attached is of the event that’s causing the problem.

Ok so this is no longer an issue about slider but a repeating issue. I see its an issue i will have to look into this. For the moment, after you save monthly repeats, go back to that event and switch to custom repeat type and delete the incorrect repeat. That is your best alternative solution for the moment.

Cheers! Going to mark this as resolved and i will work on a better solution to work with 5th friday type repeats.
