Ticket #24010 Public [Closed]

SOLD OUT function

I would like to know if there is a possibility to have a “sold out” function and a “event cancelled” function. Like a second “event cancelled” function with different colors.

I am not using Event Tickets.

there is no second cancellation option- – there is only the 1 cancelled event option in the backend in the edit event section

      But  there are some alternatives

      1. if you are not utilizing the featured event option you can change the featured event color to whatever you want and and then set your secondary cancelled events to featured
      2. You can create an event type called Cancelled events and tick this for cancelled events
      3. You can create a “custom meta data” Eventon>>>settings>>>custom meta data
and then simply name it as a full stop “.”  and then in eventon>>>>settings>>>>event top- add it to the event top
then if the event needs to be cancelled or sold out you edit the event and type in calcelled or booked out or any message you want to display

So that I may better understand your needs- why do you need 2 ways to mark an event as cancelled?

Your solutions are fine for me. Thanks

I looked for a function that put a stamp on the eventtop like the “cancel event” function but for my “sold out” events. same kind of stamp but with the “sold out” text

You could probably add a custom meta data and make it a HTML box

then make or find a small sold out logo and add it to the html box
      set that to event top

Or have the featured image appear on the left hand side of the event top and change this to SOLD OUT

Are you meaning create a custom meta data field and add somethink like this in the custom meta data field backend ?
      <img src=“http://www.sandball.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/tampon-complet.png” alt=“COMPLET/>

Could you describe more precisely ?

ok I have made an example for you

      So what I did was

      1:  eventon>>>settings>>>>custom meta data
      Activated the 4th option

2: Created a field called “:” no words just :

3: Made it a multi lines of text
(which is actually the wysywyg editor in the events

4: turned it on in eventon>>>>settings>>>>>event top

when creating the event scroll down and you will see another editor and you simply upload an image to that field and save

I created a little red sold out image

you can go here to see the test event I added to see how I added the image (scroll down)

obviously you could change the image to whatever you want Because it is named : if there is a special on you could add a different image

      for example-

      • early bird tickets
      • Only a few tickets left
      • Special Discount
      • FREE
      • and so on

whatever image you add there- you will want to make it small enough to appear on mobiles better

The image I added is too big for mobiles- so design the image for mobiles and it will look ok for desktop

and you don’t have to add an image if you don’t want to you can add text if you want
