Ticket #30000 Public

Subscriber Addon not working for action user

We have both the subscriber addon and action user.  The subscriber addon is working and sending out notifications for events that are posted from the backend by an admin.  However, notifications are not being sent for events that are posted using action user from the front end.  Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Are the events submmitted repeating event?

No.  It is affecting all front end submitted events.

alrighty- In action user you have set when events are submitted they are made private

and in subscriber you have ticked the button Auto email upon publishing of new event

Looking at some of your (non action user) previous events- these are set to Publish

so either set the action user to Myeventon>>>>action user>>>>>Submitted event’s default post status set to publish and the email should work (I know your site is live so I have not tested it) or set it to draft so you can look it over and when you make in publish it should also send the email

This still did not work.  We had previously tried changing the action user events to Publish but no notification is fired off.  Yet, when we post from the backend, we get notifications every time.

Are the plugins designed to send notifications on action user events?  Do I have an old version that requries a fix?

Also, the site is active.  But it’s not “live” so to speak.  I don’t mind if you make changes and add test events if you document what settings were changed (if that makes it easier for you to troubleshoot).

You are using old version of the plugin.

Please update to 2.5.1 and make sure you have latest version of all other addons as well.

Thank you for the reply.  First, can you please confirm that the functionality I am trying to configure is supposed to work with the plugin and addons we have purchased? —  Should events submitted through ActionUser (web frontend form) automatically email subscribers of the calendar without an administrators intervention?

Second, I updated the main application and all addons to the latest versions and tested in a test environment.  Still is not functioning properly.  My customer needs this to function as outline above.
