Sync Events doesn't fetch google calendar event name and event description

Hi guys,

I tried fetching the google calendar events that I have but when I checked on the events page, the event name and description are missing. Help 🙁

  I will advise you to contact the developer of the other plugin and ask them to look into it instead.

  The Sync Events addon plugin is the addon from EventOn not other plugins.

  Yes I followed exactly the same tutorial and I know it syncs normally, but my problem is that it doesn’t fetch the Event Title nor the Event Description. I’ve included the attachment of the latest fetch events I just did.

  Have you modify the plugin in any way?

  Hey there so I ran the same sync in my local website and its missing that information as well when I use your google calendar access information

  SO can you confirm that your google calendar events indeed have the details and name for events? Because right now it is not being sent to sync addon.

  Sorry this ticket was not assigned to me. Are you able to export the google calendar data as ICS or CSV format and send it to me? I want to see if that file would have event details in it. Because the google fetching is not able to collect that infor.

  Ok yea i can see the description information in there. I am not sure what is goin gon here to be honest. Lets try this, would you be ok if I send you ICS importer addon where you can use that same file you sent me to import google calendar events into eventon? If so please let me know your order ID for sync addon.

  I do too but if google is not sedning that information i am not sure what we can do. Might be some google calendar setitng thats restricting that.

  Btw, I just tried using my other google calendar and test fetch the events. It shows the same bug, it fetched the events but not the event title nor event description 🙁

  I wonder if it has anything to do with having the calendar on Google Apps/G Suite vs. normal Gmail account.

  OK i have added ICS importer to your myeventon.com account you should be able to download now.
  
  So if you go into your google calendar you can download the ICS file of all events that you can then import.

  So question, with using the ICS importer, do I need to import the event every time I have new events on the google calendar?

  yes you would have to do this everytime there is a new version we are working on a new update to Sync addon where we will add auto updating so hopfully that will fix the manual work 🙂
