Hello. I just installed the Sync addon and set everything up to sync from google calendar. For some reason the event times are showing 5 hours later than the google calendar displays. My time zone in settings>general shows a local time that is correct but the UTC was off by 5 so now I have the current time set to UTC-5. The times are still not changing so wondering what to do. Thanks!

Absolutely. What’d you need from me?
I think I will need your name and email address
Terri Noble
Please let me know if you need anything else.
I have sent you a request for permission to view the calendar
Should be all set!
Do you know what time zone your google calendar is on? because if that timezone is different from what your website is set at the offset in times can cause this.
My timezone is set to Eastern and my wordpress is set to New York. Not sure what else to try.
Ok, I think I’ve figured it out. For some reason the calendar I’m sharing from Google Calender is set to GMT and it’s greyed out. I can’t change it. Trying to figure that out now.
should the items “refresh” when I hit fetch events? I’m trying all kinds of changes and cant get it to move the times at all. How does it refresh?
I am glad yu figured out the timezone difference. At the moment unfortunately you can not change the time to offset.
But what you can do at the moment is after you import click on the time field and that should allow you to edit the time.
No, I’m wondering how to “refresh” all those events if I’m making changes in Google Calendar? i have 250. thats a lot to change the date on.
I am sorry what do you mean by refresh? refresh already fetched events ?
Yes, otherwise I can’t tell if any of the changes I’m making in google calendar are doing anything.
you should be able to select update already fetched events in sync page.
I clicked that box. How does it update the items?
when you fetch events it records the google event ID and then using that it updates the values next time you run it.
I give up. That’s not working. I click it then go up to hit fetch events and nothing changes. Why isn’t “Adjust Fetched event time according to timezone” affecting anything. Shouldn’t that somehow either clicked or not clicked change things?
Would you mind sharing FTP access to your site as we are working on a new update for sync addon and I would like to apply this to your site to get correct information for you as well. thanks
Sure.
