Hi there, our site is live now and there is an urgent problem with ticket management that I’m hoping can be fixed easily. Hopefully it’s just a setting or process I need to do different. Please see this video explanation: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbVq2lQH4Z
Issue summary:
Your quick help is appreciated!
Thank you!
Dawn
I should mention I’m using your main plugin, plus the ticket add-on.
Thanks,
Dawn
Have the same issue.
If there are only 2 tickets left in stock, the user should not be able to add more than 2 tickets to the cart.
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
Thank you. A quick response would be greatly appreciated. This site is live and registrations are coming in. We really need these things fixed soon.
Thanks,
Dawn
Dawn, thanks a lot for the video #1 and #2 are not issues. Not checked means the user have not checked into at the event but they have bought the ticket.
Your total tickets in stock is how many tickets you have in stock currently. So when you set show remainging when tickets remain is 2 and you have 3 tickets remaining its not going to show the remaining number until the stock is equal to or less than 2.
The #3 i have fixed on your site and the fix will be released for tickets addon in next version update.
Thank you for trying, but the ability to override the maximum tickets is not fixed. See video where max tickets should be 3 but 20 can be manually entered: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbV0DVQKJT
Thanks,
Dawn
Plus that message is the same even when I only enter 1 registration and the max is not exceeded.
Ok I see that I dont think the fix I applied was not applied correctly
Please send us FTP access to your site as a private message, so we can resolve your issue!
Ok try now it was your cahce that was the problem and was not loading the new file with my fix.
Thank you! You have fixed the ability to enter a number too high for the number of tickets available. I still can’t get the amount of tickets available to appear on the live site though. And on the test event where we have it set to 3 tickets, I just bought 2 tickets and there is no message saying there are 2 tickets left on the live site. Please see video explanation:

Thanks!

Dawn, You must read the tooltip on the explanation of what show remaining count at does. The total tickets in stock must be less than this number for it to show. Not greater. And pending tickets does not count towards tickets in stock. Tickets in stock will be reduced if there is completed order. (not pending)
Thank you. Can you quickly tell me – how does an order go from pending to complete? Is that via Woo?
Because when I mark as “Complete” in Woo and clear my cache, the Event Ticket Order Data now says 2 tickets not checked instead of pending, however the tickets max is still now showing on the live site… see attached. In other words, there should now only be one remaining ticket yet there are still 3 and no warning is shown.
Is there another step to getting this to show??
yes that is via woocommerce. 🙂
If you have a moment, we would greatly appreciate if you could kindly leave us a review at codecanyon! from your account > downloads. Cheers!
But it is still not working or I am missing something. Like I said: when I mark as “Complete” in Woo and clear my cache, the Event Ticket Order Data now says 2 tickets not checked instead of pending, however the tickets max is still now showing on the live site… see attached.
Please see this video demonstration of how the ticket management is not working (remember I am using ticket addon). The remaining tickets available ONLY show when that number matches the total tickets available number and the sold tickets are not deducted. It’s not working. Hopefully it’s a setting I can fix. This is a live site and I’m starting to panic that class registrations will be messed up.

Thanks!

I see whats happening you need to enable stock management in woocommerce settings
https://benfranklincraftswi.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=wc-settings&tab=products§ion=inventory
I thought I was using your “low stock” feature. Please tell me exactly which settings to turn on in Woo to make YOUR ticket management feature work please. Or send a screen shot.
I just tried to only check “Enable Stock Management” in Woo and that did not help.
Thank you,
Dawn
should work from now on
I don’t understand your reply and I tested the site and nothing has changed. Can you please use more words to explain how you think this is fixed? I really need this cleared up today and I feel like I’m trying to solve a puzzle with every short answer you send.
Thank you,
Dawn
This video shows the problem still today on a live event:

This video shows the product settings for that same live event:

Thank you,
Dawn
Danw, previously you didnt have stock management on so when new tickets were ordered stock count was not going down I have enable this in WC settings and from now when you add new tickets the total ticket stock should go down.
Which will resolve your doubt about remaining tickets not showing at certain number.
Does that make sense?
Your videos are old videos where the issue was there before it has been resolved now. Please give it a try as I have and I can see the stock goes down and remaining count shows now.
Urgh, I’m such a dope! I sent you the wrong video and now this will be delayed even more. Please watch this: http://screencast-o-matic.com/watch/cbVToeQMc5
This video shows the Woo product settings for that same live event (Beginning Crochet: Dishcloth – #11):

Thank you,
Dawn
Dawn I dont want to be rude to you but please i have mentioned to you numerous times
Total Tickets in Stock < show remaining count at —- in order for the count to show.
Listen this issue has been resolved you must take some time to grasp the concept here and how it works as I dont have a lot of bandwidth to spend on a single ticket that has been resolved as we are experiencing heavy ticket volume these days.
I understand you are busy and I’m frustrated too. Something is not right. I’m begging you for help. Please note that even if I turn off the feature to show the amount of tickets left, I still have the problem of a real live class only having a capacity of 8 tickets and currently 6 are sold, yet you can go to that class and it lets a visitor sign up for 8 spots still right now. The sample for this is “Beginning Crochet: Dishcloth – #11 on Feb 5th.
I don’t understand how to fix this. You say it’s fixed, but I don’t see that. I don’t know how else to communicate clearly than to show you in a video. Please help me fix this. Only 2 more spots should be available for sign up to this class – Beginning Crochet: Dishcloth – #11
Once I have an answer that fixes this, I can apply it to all the other classes.
Thank you,
Dawn
Ashish will be able to take it from here and answer any more questions you have.
Thank you. I had to manually go into the event and change the ticket stock to 2 remaining tickets so people can register. Do I have to manually change the ticket stock on each existing event?
Simple directions like that will help me stop bothering you.
Hi,
I cannot log in to the dashboard with the username/password provided.
Please check once
That is correct. When I didn’t hear back from you for several days I removed your user. Like I mentioned in my last response, when I manually went into each even and changed the ticket stock to the current number it seems to work. Apparently since the Woo ticket management option was turned on AFTER all the events were entered, a manual update was needed. That seems like it would have been a simple explanation, but I learned it on my own.
Take care,
Dawn
ok. That’s great. Glad it was sorted.
