Hi
I have set up ticket variations to allow people to buy two tickets at a discount, however the system is not reducing the stock levels
example event https://www.foodsorcery.co.uk/events/korean-cookery-class-meal-11/
I’ll attache a screenshot to show the stock
Thanks
Helen
see video below on how and where to add the stock levels
Hi,
We have a total number of 16 tickets, we cannot put a specific amount of tickets in each as we don’t know how many people will book together or separately so we can’t split the stock on that way.
Is there a way of being able to set the stock to total 16 made up of a combination of people booking in singles or pairs?
Thanks
Helen
Hello,
There are only two options at the moment:
https://helpdeskx.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/19150835/Screenshot-2022-12-19-at-22.08.17.png
It says that the stock has been reduced from 8 to 7.
however the system is not reducing the stock levels
Could you tell us more about this?
If a person booked the variant for two people the stock needs to reduce by 2 tickets, at the moment both variants are reducing stock by just one ticket.
We have a total of 16 tickets and we don’t know the combination of variants that customers will book, therefore we need to be able to reduce stock by one for variant one person and reduce by two if somebody buys the two people variant.
Thanks
Helen
This is not how variations work, I am afraid.
Users select how many tickets to purchase with this option:
Variations are for them to select a different type of product you can offer for a different price.
Do you have any functionality in any other plugins that could do what we want – offer a discount is two tickets purchased?
Thanks
Helen
WooCommerce handles this kind of functionality, so please take a look at this or similar plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-discount-rules/
So, basically, you move all the discounts functionality to Woo’s Cart or Checkout, instead of EventON’s events.
