Tickets Addon adding event dates when saving

Hi there,

something is going wrong with my eventOn-tickets installation:

Each time I save an event it adds further repeating instances of an event and changes the number of remaining tickets. It seems as if the original date of the event is added to the custom repeat times and the relating remaining tickets are shifted to another place.

I am using the latest versions of Eventon, tickets an woocommerce.

Also, customers are getting tickets with the wrong date on it, in woocomerce orders and emails it shows the correct one!

Please help me, this is very urgent as this is a life shop!

Thanks,

Andreas

I just created a new vent with the same settings but did not experience what you have described.

Can you log into our test site and see if you can replicate the issue

No, I can`t replicate it on the test server.

Please go back to your AJDE test event on my clients site, scroll down to “Custom repeat times” and see the the number of repeat intervals. Then save the event without any changes and go back to “Custom repeat times”. You will see there is one more repeat interval. Each time you save – there will be one more!

I suspected it has something to do with date formats, but changes did not affect anything.

      Please help!

I also changed the php version of the database from 7.0 to 5.6, which also has no effect.

      Dear Ashish,

      already tried these:

      • Disabling all Plugins (except Eventon and Woocommerce)
      • Going to a genuin WP theme
      • Changing time formats
      • Changing PHP version
      • Disabling SSL
      • Changing to an older version of EO Tickets
      • also changing to an older version of EventOn (2.4.9)

The last point eliminates the issue. So I guess it’s a problem of EventOn and not the ticket addon. I now switch back to the newest versions to let you find the issue.

      kind regards

      Andreas

Please send us FTP access to your site as a private message, so we can perform several tests from our end and resolve your issue fast!

And latest versoin of eventon should have custom repeat issues solved.

SO I just copied the new version of eventon on to your site and same thing does not do duplicate of initial event date on my site but on your site it does. Can you make a new event and see same thing happen still?

    • By: moviestar007 Feb 15,2017 AT 4:35PM - Posted 5 years ago - #28205

ok, if I make a new event now, everything is ok. If I copy an event, it behaves like before, adding one every time saving. How comes this?

I would prefer not to build all events again, if possible.

If I create a new event (to copy the old one), all previous purchases and attendees are lost, even if I use the same sku number. Is there a way to import them into the new event?

Also: I don’t see the “Additional Options for Event Attendance”. Do they only appear if there are any purchases done?

Hi there, so I have made a note of this and will need some time to dig into this. I think we need to completely wipe out repeat_intervals event post meta data and recreate it. Already saved attendees will not be effected if you recreate the repeats. Anyways give me sometime please.

Ok i found the issue. So i have updated the files, now you will see initial button for the first repeat instance. What you need to do is go into the event and delete initial and other repeats that are duplicate of the initial value and then save and then it will get rid of all the old duplicated.

Please let me know if this works and really sorry for taking time!

Hi, everything seems to work fine now. Did you change something in my files or is it a new version? Only in case I have to reinstall the plugin in the future.

Thanks a lot for your great support!

I changed some stuff and i will also going to include those changes in the next version update to eventon 2.5.2 so when you update to next version those changes I made in your site will not be effected 🙂

      Cheers! Also

If you have a moment, we would greatly appreciate if you could kindly leave us a review at codecanyon! from your account > downloads. Cheers!

      Dear Ashan,

unfortunately I found out the system still does not work properly.

When adding new events anywhere in the middle of existing events, all the following events are shifted downward in the list, but not the relating numbers of attendees. This leads to wrong attendee lists, all attendees are shifted in other events!

You can use my “Test2” event to replicate this issue again. The frontend shop is offline, but you can see it in the backend.

      Kind regards Andreas

Andreas, You should NEVER change and add custom repeats to an event after it has tickets sold. Because the tickets sold are connected to the index of the repeating index so if you add a repeating instance before the new repeat times will be what used for tickets sold.

We have made a special note of this in tickets v1.5
