I am finding the updating and formatting of an event to meet my needs very difficult. Is there any simple straightforward documentation that you can point me to. The problems I am having relate to the linked page I have provided.
1. Where do I add some interest to this image boxed in grey at the top? As it is, I am better off without it and going straight to the page with image and text. Where are the options for that image set either to turn it off or add information to make it interesting?
2. The next frame show an image that fades to white and gives the MORE option to click it and display the full image. I would better off having this image open fully immediately.
3. The display of that large Charity image towards the bottom is awful. Where is that set?
4. What is wrong with my Google map settings? I have an API but the settings are confusing with their many options. I have turned each of them on and off. Even turned of APIs but without a positive result.
5. I have followed two sets of advice on how to get rid of Google Cal. Neither of them worked.
I have hours on this for little result. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Feb 21,2025 AT 7:45PM - 1 month ago -Just to be clear, all that is showing on my front page is 22 Feb, the name of the event and the days, Thursday to Saturday.
What I would like is the address of event and possibly the dates matching the days that week. This should be easy to update but I don’t know where to do it.
I have found the answer to points 2. and 5. Just need 1, 3 and 4 addressed AND the problem of getting address and maybe description into the opening page of the calendar. That issue and 1 and 3 are explained by the attached image. 4 relates to API and maps.

YOU CAN IGNORE MOST OF WHAT I HAVE RECORDED ABOVE BECAUSE I HAVE RESOLVED THE ISSUE OR HAVE NEW QUESTIONS AS FOLLOWS:
1. I have found the answer to part of my concerns with point 1 (see attached EVENTTOP image).
I have added material to the my main calendar page listing such as address and time. All good but I still don’t understand how this really works. What are the other two columns for or the empty row at the top? I have added the relevant fields in the third column but what is the point of the others? You have told me I can’t add an image even image option appears in the first column? Is there any good documentation that explains this?
2. I don’t seem to be able to get a location map to display. Directions works and that may be enough but I don’t know what the settings should be and have tried a range of combinations and I am certain to need a map in the future.
3. I would like the location image to appear in my events listing when people click through but I don’t seem to be able to set the size (see the strangely inflated image attached to this link). I have resized the image and set it 300px in settings but nothing seems to change. See Sweet Charity Op Shop listing. 4. :astly, you helped me enormously when you reset my events listing pages to white but my entry page is still black. eg where I add images and details related to an event so I either have to use CSS to change to font color to white temporarily and set it back or set block color to white and set it back. How do I set the ADD NEW EVENT page to white background when I am entering text and images?

I don’t think EVENTTOP image was received so here it is.
1: The multiple columns- You don’t have to use them all – I would say I have only seen one customer use every column for a particular reason that only he would need. they are options- most people don’t need them. Also some customers espeically arabic use right to left language (which is an experience loghing into their admin area- everythings reversed)
2: so for the first event- 22nd sweet charity- the lon and lat fields were incorrect- so it was showing the wrong place- I have changed it to the right lon and lat and its now working right
so right now without any changes- your google maps will display the right address the only thing not working is when creating or editing the location the generate lon and lat coordinates button can’t connect. you can manually insert the lon lat as I did on your first event but to get that button working you’ll need to look at the below paragraph
the error that I am getting from your site you may need to change the application restrictions- now google has a complex documentation

if you are manully wanting to add the lon lat codes- just go to google maps- go to the address you are after and right click that exact location the lon and lat will be the first option and clicking it will copy it
3: the location image will take up the space you set in myeventon>>>>settings>>>>event card- the designer- to show you I have created a new line and put the image in the right column and the location text in the left
I also added some css to apperance>>>customize>>>>>additional css

4: I think if I understand correctly I have made the edit field white
controlled in your edit page preferences- choosing to look like your theme makes it black (I turned that off)
Most of what you have done is great. One problem. In setting the background for the whole site to WHITE, the problem I was having on the event entry page has now shifted to the whole site. See my front page (attached image) now has the opposite problem that my event entry page had. I now have the problem of WHITE TEXT on WHITE BACKGROUND. I only wanted a WHITE Background for the Event entry page.

Yes, I can Artem but I have to change it for every block and every piece of text. I can handle that on the occasional page such as the HOME Page but it will become very difficult if I need to do it for every event entry. Is is not possible to change the background just for event entry data entry pages as you did for the event display page?

A couple of days ago, you turned the screen at the right of the image black text on a white background, even though my theme is on a black background. That was great. . Just what i wanted but I am still using a black background for entering data and it would ideal if that were white too otherwise I have to use CSS temporarily to be able to see what I am writing and then turn it back. The left of the attached image is the entry post for an event and the right is the result. As you can see the headings on the left are visible but plain text is not. This will be a particular problem when I buy and implement the plugin that allows people to submit events themselves. I can’t have them struggling with CSS.
The other problem I am having (another ticket) is events not dropping off the calendar after they have passed. I deleted two events manually but that is not ideal. I still have repeating event from 23rd Feb. As soon as this issue is cleared up, I want to get the full calendar and the $80 submission plugin

EventON doesn’t have any control over Edit Event’s background. Your theme sets it.
Theme uses black background with white text color, so it seems that you need to go to EventON > Appearance > EventCard Styles > set Event Card Background Color to black, so you can use white text. You can also contact the theme developers and ask how you can remove the black background from custom taxonomies.
About past events issue. Please go to EventON > Time Settings > enable Hide past events for default calendar(s).
