Widget sidebar shortcode gives page not found when clicking event

When adding a shortcode in a sidebar widget the events show in the list as specified but when i try to click the actual event it just loads an oops page not found page.

If i use one of the other prebuilt widgets such as “show next month” this works fine.

Can you possible offer any advice on this?

  The easiest place to see it is on the home page, on the left side bar.
  
  this bar is also visible on all of the pages however.

  Could you try following this guide: https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/single-events-page-not-working-404-error/? Please also check if EventON > Events Paging > Select Events Page Template is Default EventON Template.

  Just remembered that our security plugin stops users from certain regions.
  
  but the link you sent over solved it anyway, The permalinks change solved it.
  It must have been up update to the newer version of WordPress the other day.
  
  All seems to be working now.
