hello again team!
I have made some email templates to be sent via woocommerce, the emails work and the ticket info etc is all in the email, however the ticket PDFs arent being attached to the woocommerce emails. is that right? Is there a way to attach them to a woocommerce email at all?
TIA

Please send us wp-admin access to your site as a private message for us to further assist your situation.
Hi Jordan,
We can customize the tickets for you if you want, you can open a customization job for it.
When it comes now to the PDFs’ to be attached with the plugin, you need to speak with the plugin author, it seems that there is a bug there, as we use the default WooCommerce actions from our side.
Hey Basilis cheers for your reply!
even when I am not using the email template designer and just using woocommerce as the email order sender it still does not attach as a pdf? And thoughts or ideas on what else could be causing the issue?
Hello,
PDF attachment seems to be present when re-sending the email:
Could you make sure that you are completing the order by going to wp-admin > Woo > Orders > Edit > change status to Completed?
In order to customize email template please follow https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/customize-ticket-email-template/
I understand that the pdf attaches when using the EventOn email confirmation which is the email you have a screenshot of above correct? There is the option to disable the EventOn emails and use the woocommerce emails. Am I correct to assume that when using the woocommerce emails the pdf will still be attached? Thats the issue Im running into. The pdf attaches to the EventOn email confirmation, but when disabled to use the woocommerce email confirmation the pdf does not attach.
PDFer only works with EventON’s tickets. You cannot attach it to WooCommerce.
Please try sending us a customization job request by creating a new ticket in here and selecting Customization Request as the category. Maybe one of our developers can implement this compatibility.
Right.
so if I want a custom order confirmation email ( the only reason why I was using woocommerce was because it is much easier to do that the EventOn email ) I have to edit the EventOn confirmation email template? But because that email is essentially the ticket as well, what does the PDF addon actually do? Does it just turn the confirmation email into a PDF? Or does it create its own version of the ticket that is different to the confirmation email?
The main purpose of PDFer is to include a pdf version of the ticket for easy printing.
You should be able to change pdf version by customizing email template by following https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/customize-ticket-email-template/.
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of the .pdf file by re-generating it from Events > Tickets > Edit Event Ticket:
Hey Artem!
totally understand what you’re saying!
basically I just want to use the woocommerce email system to send all correspondence ie. ticket confirmation emails etc etc, and attach the ticket as a pdf to these emails. Rather than using the EventOn email system. Is this possible I guess is what I am asking? Or is this a custom job?
hope that makes sense 🙂
Hey Jordan,
That would be a custom work, we would need to disable the email system of eventON and then attach the PDF to the WooCommerce emails.
You can send us a customization job request by creating a new ticket in here and selecting Customization Request as the category.
Hey Basilis,
thanks so much for your reply. I will put in the customisation request today! Thanks for your help 🙂
most welcome Jordan!
