Wordpress 5.3 says there is an error in your plugin

I updated to eventon 2.8 yesterday and also to wordpress 5.3 and I have received this message from wordpress:

Also, today I have updated the addon eventon_lists, and there is another error appearing in the front end of this page:

The error is: Warning: DateTime::modify(): Failed to parse time string (first of this month) at position 0 (f): The timezone could not be found in the database in /home/soniaros/public_html/wp-content/plugins/eventon-event-lists/includes/class-frontend.php on line 134
The shortcode I use here is: [add_eventon_el el_type=”pe” number_of_months=”12″ sep_month=”yes” eventtop_style=”2″ ux_val=”4″ hide_empty_months=”yes”]

here is the patch fix for events lists addon error.
As for eventON main error, I am working on that and will release a new version as soon as I have addressed other bugs we have realized with new version 2.8

For me the plugin just does not load the events, I need to go back to an earlier version. Simply does not work with WP 5.3
