Wrong time zone set when importing events from .ics (not with EventOn add on)

Hello,

I am using your very fine plugin EventOn, it is one of the best calendar plugin for wordpress. It works good and it is easy to handle.

I am using the plugin WP Event Aggregator to import .ics files. I use this plugin because in former times i used other calendar plugins wich are not to good compared to yours. The import of events to EventOn is working fine and stable.
But all events i import from .ics has the time zone (GMT -11:00). In .ics file there is the correct time zone.

As result the add eventon_now show the wrong time to begin of an event. When i change the time zone to correct zone (GMT +01:00) it works fine.

I already tried to change EventOn time settings “Use UTC offset time globally on calendars” and put different values at “Custom eventon only time offset value (in minutes)” but nothing changed at eventon_now.

Do you have any idea i coud try?

Thanks and best regards.
Matthias

      Hello,

When events have been imported, you cannot change their timezone, unless you go to Edit Event and manually change it.

But all events i import from .ics has the time zone (GMT -11:00).

Can you manually set a timezone during the importing?

Hello, thanks for your reply and my delay.

My .ics file includes the timezone:BEGIN:VTIMEZONE
      TZID:Europe/Berlin
      BEGIN:DAYLIGHT
      TZOFFSETFROM:+0100
      TZOFFSETTO:+0200

But i am afraid that the ics importer with WP Event Aggregator plugin does not hand over it to EventON.

Now i bought a license of your ICS Importer – Single Site plugin but i am a little bit disappointed because it is not possible to import more different .ics automatically from URL (i have 15 different .ics files which has to be imported). This is not possible or i cannot find how to import different .ics files from URL.
And i cannot find how to import an .ics file into a specific EventType Category. I have 15 different categories (like 15 different .ics files).

Is it possible to handle different .ics files and also to import them to different categories?

      Thanks for your reply.

      Matthias

      Hello,

Only one .ics file is available, I am afraid. Also you cannot import them to different categories. However please create a new ticket and select Feature Request as category so others can vote on your idea and get it moved into development faster.

hmm, is it possible to get a refund because i do not need this plugin anymore? I never used it because it is not possible to import more than one .ics file and it is not possible to assign the .ics file to a category.

In order to request a refund, please create a new ticket under Billing & Accounts and be sure to include the order ID for which you need a refund for and the reason for requesting a refund.
