The best solution is to use Event Lists shortcode instead:

[add_eventon_list number_of_months=”12″ hide_empty_months=”yes”]

Unfortunately, there is no an automatic way of hiding empty months in Main Calendar.

Before deleting the plugin, did you enable “Delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled”?

There was an issue with 2.6.12 when you need to enable the option in order to not to delete events.

What do I need to replace this code with?

Yes I customized the php template but I did not change the default ‘Add to calendar’ link. Here is the current code Add to calendar link code:

Thank you for the reply. As I explained in my initial post, I have done those things (deactivate, delete, install). My issue is when I do that, I lose the events entered in v2.6.12 when I activate v4.9.5. I want to install the update without losing the events. In v2.6.12 I deactivated the license within the plugin. I then entered the purchase key and my Envato username. The instructions say to go to my settings in Envato to generate an API key. There is no API key area in settings. How do I get an API key?
