Please add this CSS code to EventON > Styles (If you can’t see any change, EventON > turn off Write styles to header > save settings > turn on Write styles to header):

.evcal_event_subtitle img { width: auto !important }

You can also go to Edit Event > Event Image > Set Event Image. After add this to the shortcode to show Feature Image:

show_et_ft_img=”yes”

It worked for me from the beginning so not really sure why it works for me but not for you. Could you contact Cloudflare about this? Maybe they have a common solution for this issue.
