If it was that simple we would not have posted a ticket.

Adding /01/01 results in showing the past events from the beginning of our event calendar (many years ago) till the end of december 2019!

The code without 2020 without 01/01 shows the correct past events since 2020/01/01 but the end range stops at 2020/02/29 in stead of ‘today’

You originally emailed me the file on December 15, 2019, but it did not work.  I wasn’t able to update the original ticket, so I created a new one.  Placing the file there created a critical error, and my website would not load.

Okay thanks.

I fixed the widget, and used the css.  I also hid the top bar in the manager with css, but it would be nice to find a fix.  I have developers using the guest admin account today, when they are done I will update login info.

I contacted Google. They want to know what language the plugin is in order to generate an API code (java, html)?

This is tricky when you are not a developer.
