This has been added as default feature now.

So, customization is not needed.

Ok I was able to fix your issue, https://biocity.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/RSVP_conf_25303-4.pdf I think the problem is your event details had invalid HTML codes and becuase this pdfer convert HTML to pdf and there may be some elements that cause issues when converting. 

So I removed event details and added a button to event info. You can certainly customize the text from rsvp confirmation email template in your theme folder.
