This could have been caused one of the other plugins you are using.

As you can see in our demo site below, everything works normally:

dev.myeventon.com/wp-admin

You can check by disabling all other plugins and changing the theme back to default WP theme.

Please backup your site first and then turn on ” Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled”

And then perform the update please.

To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. I have checked in all other browsers and it works fine in all browsers except in Safari. So it must be a Safari problem. I will ask again if we cannot get it to work and see if there is anything you can suggest might help. Thank you so much.

I figured out why it sayd “no valid plugin”

but now the message is

Unpacking the package…

Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists.

Plugin installation failed.

 

The documentation is very confusing regarding upgrading from 2.6.6 to versions that are NOT 2.6.7

Do i delete and reinstall? if so, is “Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled” suspposed to be on or off?
