I want the directory page to actually be the archives page and the /scholarships page to be the live scholarship page that people go to.

In this case you need to change EventOn Event Post Slug to /scholarships-directory.

For some reason http://staging.scholarshipinformer.com/scholarships/ isn’t loading and is trying to redirect me to http://staging.scholarshipinformer.com/scholarships-directory-2/, which also doesn’t work. Could you check and let me know?

Great stuff, just to be sure the event before and after reminder would be within each event (or attached to individual event) and content of reminders for each event could be different …rather then the way it works at the moment.
