We’re referring to the search bar that comes with EventOn (screenshot attached).
As the search bar isn’t working, we have hidden the option from our audience until we can get it fixed.

EventON is only compatible with WPML translation plugin (also allows switching between languages):

Usually when you want to use have events translated you can use:
https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/setup-language-corresponding-events/
Enable it and then create a separate translation for each language as a page.

Your hosting provider doesn’t allow you to upgrade PHP version? I believe that the issue can be fixed with PHP 8+.

Could you try updating EventON to 4.8.2 and also try upgrading PHP to 8+ for a test only?
Also can you increase memory limit to 1000MB?
