If you go to https://newsudburydays.ca/events, you get the image named events that is unformatted and doesn’t display the results of the shortcode.

I’m not sure I understand. If you go to https://newsudburydays.ca/events-list/, you get the image below named events-list that has a fully-formatted elementor display including the results of the shortcode we’ve used.

Why is that different to when they are not sold out. If an reoccuring event started i January and it is sold out it still shows in February. That doesn’t happen if they are not sold out. That is strange…

I disabled and reactivated both plugins (main and daily) and it corrected the situation.

Ashan,
EventON + Polylang don’t seem to work together.
The page with the shortcode:

The event:

Only in Troubleshooting Mode the shortcode shows the event.
