categories appear if there is an event within that category
you can manually change the shortcode to always hide that category – (but I do not believe thats what you are after)
if a category has an event even in the past- that category will appear
currently there is no way to hide a category if there are past events but it is an interesting idea I can see this being useful
(if you are willing to permanently delete past events that should give you that feature set in myeventon>>>>setings>>>>advanced settings)
Thank you for your great suggestion, at the moment it is not supported. However please create a new ticket and select Feature Request as category so others can vote on your idea and get it moved into development faster.
seems the password has changed
on the event itself under the date picker- theres a toggle to turn on that says “this event is effected by daylight saving” can you toggle that and check

Can you check the Live Now Schedule countdown one more time? My upcoming event is off by one hour. It seems like it’s not taking into account the end of Daylight Savings. If I remove the UTC offset it’s subtracting four hours instead of five.

If this is the case it means that this sync is not happening correctly on its own. Is it possible? When are we indeed forced to trigger a manual sync on the event?
