we are developing a different approach- essentially each event would have its own unique scan page that would only scan that event- the link to that scan page would be from the action user event manager- so it could be shared only if the event manager wanted it to be shared (if they have staff to scan in guests) and would only work for that event
this allows us to set it up without stuffing around with user roles and individual users its a dedicated link just for that event.
no eta- just thought I would give you a heads up on what we are working on but it should be faster to develop than a solution we tie into individual users
yes that was an issue in the previous version please update eventon to the latest build
To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website > make sure “Delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled” is Deslected from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. This link will further explain the process it. Also you can follow us on twitter to get real-time announcements on updates!
Steve the changes should be fine on 4.4 You can also comment out the code that move events to trash and see if it still happens. The code should only move events to trash NOT completely delete them.
I wonder if there is something else doing that?
Hello,
Thank you for your messages, I am going to assign this ticket to Ashan and he will be able to take it from here and find you a solution. Please allow some time for him to get back to you, we greatly appreciate your patience and thank you for being a eventon customer!
Just installed the page builder on our test site and it seems to be working correctly:
After you changed anything in Appearance, please try EventON > Scripts & Styling > turn off Write dynamic styles to header > save settings > turn on Write dynamic styles to header.
Also could you give us some examples of elements that are wrong right now?

Hi Ashan,
Thanks for these details!!!
I can confirm it’s not a DB caching issue.
It’s also likely that this may have been turned on when initially installed, or by a previous developer.
We know we had this issue once about 6 months ago, and were able to restore deleted events no problem, but now in the past 2 months, we have no solution.
It’s bizarre why events are being removed from the trash at random periods – sometimes it’s in 3 days after deltion, sometimes more. This prevents us from being able to easily restore deleted events.
Everything was working fine with old events remaining live, but without any change to settings, it just started removing expired events.
We have recently tried enabling the the remove past events option, and it works the same as when we have it disabled – events are removed, and then emptied from the trash automatically in a random number of days.. Unless we log in daily, we can’t make sure none are lost.
Thank you very much for the code modifications.
We currently have the following options disabled;
- Auto move events to trash when the event date is past
- Set all past events as completed
And have made adjustments to the code – however we are using a different version than the screenshots you provided;
I’m assuming the changes we have applied, should be fine in this version as well?
Thanks!!
Steve
Our test/development uses PHP 8.2.
Do you see the error on the front-end?
If you follow
https://docs.myeventon.com/documentations/how-to-debug-for-php-code-errors/
errors will go directly to debug.log.
Hello,
Thank you for your great suggestion, at the moment it is not supported. However please create a new ticket and select Feature Request as category so others can vote on your idea and get it moved into development faster.
Could you also tell us about issues? Maybe we can help.
