first off you will want to make a backup of your website- your eventon version is very old and when deleting it it potentially could delete all the events

you don’t have to deactivate it

just in myeventon>>>>>settings

there is a toggle to turn on

do not delete eventon settings

make sure that is turned on. (in future versions that option is revered in that you have to turn on the toggle to delete everything)

once you have turned on that toggle.

you go to plugins- deactivate and then delete it

then upload the newer version and activate

then check to see if your events are back. If not thats why you created the backup.

if you need to use the backup- then do that and contact us with ftp access and we will surgivally delete the plugin so you can upload the newer one

Thank you. We now can’t enter new events either.

Thank you for letting us know. We did mover event details to load via ajax to increase page load. And we are able to replicate this issue. Currently doing tests to find a better solution for this and hoping to release an update this week!!
