I’d lke to explain you the project I’m working on because I’m having a lot of problems adding events to the calendar and maybe you can see the easiest way to make it all work.

HERcal is the first online calendar that collects women’s history 365 days a year. Births, deaths, achievements, Nobel prizes…

I bought eventOn, Daily View and CSV Importer addons because after a lot of searching I found some of the things I needed for the project:

1. That the events could be imported from an excel where I’m adding new ephemerides in a simple way. 

At the moment I imported two CSV with 2470 entries each one but the project will keep growing.
Today I have seen that not all of them appear in the daily list.
I don’t know why.
Is there a limit of events?
Can’t the same names be repeated with different dates?

2. That the events could be repeated year after year.
At the moment I haven’t achieved it.

3. That the year of birth and the year of death could be added in the event file.
I didn’t get it.
I imported 2 CSV:  1/ the date of birth 2/ the date of death but I don’t know why now the dates of the second import don’t appear.
Can you check why it doesn’t appear?
Is it possible to have one event (a woman) with two different dates in the calendar (date of birth and date of death) and to repeat them year after year?

4. That images of the women could be included as the event image.
I don’t know what happens but in some of the events imported  I uploaded, the image does not appear.

5. I could customise the calendar with the colours of the project. 

I didn’t get it.

6. I wanted to have a search engine that would show the entries when I enter any name.
When I try to find a woman or some word using the search engine, no event appears (and I know it is there).

At the moment these are the basic functions I need, but I’m sure that new doubts will arise ; )

I would be grateful if you could help me to finish the calendar to be able to launch it as soon as possible. And in case you can’t help me, please let me know so I can look for other solutions. The launch date of the project was going to be the 1st of January.
