you might also want to look at featured events as you can create calendars that ONLY show featured events

its a little strange as you have in event type 1 a category called special events

BUT then you have called event type 2 special events

so i amnot 100% clear as to what you are after

are you trying to show only events from special events but none of the others and if so which special events the one located in event type 1 or the entire event type 2

BY CHANGING THE 2021 TO 2020 above you would create a 2020 archive page

so theres 2 options

1: with an addon https://www.myeventon.com/addons/rsvp-events/
that will do exactly what you are after

thats a little overkill if you just have one event so 

2: you would need some kind of form plugin like contact form 7 which is free on the repository

create your form and add it to the event iether in the main description or a custom meta data (which is what we call custom fields)

However for SEO puposes, I plan on modifying the code to keep the expired events on the organizer and location pages.
Is there a shortcode I can do to show all events from the past, as well as all the events in the future?
