We are glad to hear that you managed to restore your website. 

To update eventon to latest version: If you are unable to do autoupdate, you can go to codecanyon your account > download and get the latest eventon version as zip file. Then you can go to your website, deactivate old eventon, activate (Do not delete eventon settings & data when EventON is uninstalled) from eventon settings, delete old eventon, install new one and activate. This link will further explain the process it.

To make the boxes a bit shorter, you can reduce the padding as well as the font size.

Add the custom CSS code below to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS code to do that

#evcal_widget #evcal_list .eventon_list_event .evcal_list_a{padding:10px 10px;}

#evcal_widget .eventon_events_list .evcal_cblock .evo_start .date, #evcal_widget .eventon_events_list .evcal_desc2{font-size:12px;}

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I am not sure I understand fully, but I find tooltip a useful feature which ideally I would not disable. Ideally, it will still work, only WITHOUT displaying full registrant’s name for obvious/basic privacy issues.

Thank you very much for your thorough explanation video, I really appreciate it. I will give it a try now, but it may take me some time. In the meantime, can I ask: If I have several repeat instances of the event (hundreds), do I have to manually set the capacity for each one? I know it is a copy/paste operation but it will still take a while if that is the case.

thr custom meta data fields you can choose a button or multi lines of text

as for defaulting to a new window- that would require customization of the code theres no current settings to do this as yet
