Kindly share the staging site access via Access info and we can go in there and see what need done to get the calendar loading. 

My friend, No need to be surprised. we are trying to help you find best ways to load events to your calendar.

WP Query method is one way we have seen our clients were able to load the calendar very fast. To give you little behind the scene on programming here, without WP Query method, all the events in your website is queried to get events in the current calendar month range — this is heavy on memory. By setting a cutoff on event post publish dates wp query is intrinsically have to run smaller query with smaller dataset = less memory = faster load time. — this is how the wp_query method can help your case. 

However, to your point — yes an event created 6 months away will have a 6 month old publish date which would not be captured in that paricular cut off query. As an alternative you can change the publish date of that event to make it visible in the range. 

I think loading the calendar is the most important item here, so doing these things will help it load.  

Yes, agreed.  Will this be fixed today? As others have said, this has been public for 2 days now. I had thought it would have been reolved by now.  What are we supposed to do? Use an old version? …or just leave this risk open

Thank you for your feedback, but what I would like is simply to automatically display the next event (just one) on a page. I keep the standard display of all the month’s events on a separate ’events’ page.

It would function like the ”Other Events” button on the event card. You push it and it brings up the venue and any other events. Only I would want tiles of each venue- or a list with thumbnails, that when you click the venue it pulls up that same pop-up. 

We do have the Maps add-on, and it’s great for that purpose. This is an event where lots of venues participate ONLY for this festival- there are well known locations like museums and galleries, but also coffee shops, universities, community centers etc.  Places that don’t usually show art regularly. The point of this page is so people can look through and realize ”Wow- lots of places participate in Month of Photography! I had no idea there were events going on at my favorite bookstore!” This is good for donors/sponsors as well as visitors because it emphasizes the exposure they will get. It’s an impressive list and has grown a lot over the past few years. It’s like a restaurant franchise- you may want to look at a map or you may just want to see a list of all of their locations, especially over large geographic areas- we have events spanning hundreds of miles across the state. Is this something I could pay a developer, or you, to create?
