Note:
It’s not just the day color, the events also disappearing when searching through the search selector.

Thanks! I am not really a coder so have just used the Inspect option to copy your CSS and adjust it (Specificity was already in the code). I am happy to take your lead on what CSS to use but nothing I am adding to Customise>Additional CSS is actually reflecting on the front end. 

I am looking forward to any update on this,
