There is this custom CSS style that affects EventTop (it’s located in wp-custom-css):
Please remove it and then go to Edit Event > change Event Color to change the background color. Also go to EventON > EventTop > change Select Default Calendar EventTop Style to Colorful with gap between events.
You are using EventON Lite. Add-ons only work with the full version of EventON:

Could you please try the instructions mentioned in this documentation? After you disable plugins and switch the theme, please try creating a new event.

Not sure if that link was sent to the right person. Here’s my last message:
Let’s use /event-directory as the main events link. Is there a way to rename this /events instead of /event-directory?
If that’s not possible, can you remove or disable the /events page please?
