filter_type=”select” is for Main Calendar shortocde. Please check available options for DailyView in Shortcode Generator > DailyView.

It seems there are performance issues with the server. Could you try adding this to the shortcode: cal_init_nonajax=”yes” 

If this doesn’t help please follow the instructions in this documentation to activate debug in your site to see any PHP errors recorded that can provide insight on to whats going on. Please reply with a link to debug.log file. If you are not able to do this please send us FTP access to your site so we can do this for you.

However please create a new ticket and select Feature Request as category so others can vote on your idea and get it moved into development faster. OR You can send us a customization job request by creating a new ticket in here and selecting Customization Request as the category.

Please go to Edit Event > User Interaction for event click > select External Link.
