I’ve been asking for this for years. Nothing happens 🙁

I was able to solve it all myself. In the end I could change to php 8 (some deep setting in the host’s control panel), I had to increase the WP memory and had to enable “PHP unsafe functions”. Running on latest EventON version again. I’ll close the ticket.

Regarding the languages, I’ve built the L1 L2 languages of eventon.

I use the Kubio site builder with the Kadence theme. Kubio put it all together for me, so I don’t really want to go messing around with stuff I don’t quite understand the compliation.

All I want is the content for the event page (such as https://bluediamondtransfers.com.au/event/kylie-minogue-tension-tour/ ) or the Organiser or Location page to have my sites headers and footers.

Everything else I have shoved into the site works; its just this plugin that seems to be complicated to implement.

This page works perfectly https://bluediamondtransfers.com.au/event-calendar/

Just shove a shortcode in and viola, it does exactly what I want.

But I want the permalink for the single event to go to the same layout page https://bluediamondtransfers.com.au/events/ Is a blank page ready to go, but I dont know how to implement.

PS: I get the impression you work for EventOn or are you just a user?

Sorry if I’m a bit sharp; I just did not think this would be so complicated.

Hi, I can’t work out when I ask ‘view in my time’ that it doesn’t change time – even when using a VPN to come in from other countries/different timezones.  Did you work that out?

 

it all depends on your theme and how you have created your headers

eventon events are a “custom post type” and I did some reasech on your theme and found this

you probably don’t need to edit the actual code- but you need to add the eventon custom post type to your system most likely via a plugin found on the link above

the location pages and event organiser pages are archive pages- if you sort out the above issue I believe that may in fact solve your aqrchive pages but I am guessing as I have no idea how you made your headers

you can create your own dedicated event manager page and dedicated location page via shortcodes

So it seems none of these pages are adapting to my existing theme.

I would have thought there would be a shortcode to just put into a blank page to make this work.

Of course, if there is a list of files/theme files that need modifying, I’m happy to do that as I can handle that with Filezilla and Notepad++

Obviously I’m simply looking for an avenue without passing on admin details. Nothing personal, just ensuring appropriate security measures as well 🙂

there is a way…… depends on how many events you have added as it will delete all events as well.

If I got in there I might be able to copy and paste the dev site single event page into your site
and some people think they have deleted something but its not deleted- just forced onto the new template
