Here’s a little update. The reminder email was able to be sent out. The mistake was the date. However, the send-out time is wrong.

Event time zone = GMT+2
Event start = 3:10 am
Reminder 1 = 90 mins before event
Reminder 2 = 60 mins before event
Received both reminders = 7:40 am (after and not before the event)

The only way that makes sense is that the event is set at GMT+2 and that the reminder was sent on GMT-4.

Furthermore: Yes, you may deactivate any plugin you want. And also the theme(s). For your convenience, I installed the standard Twenty Twenty-Four theme. I only had to add this line to its functions.php to avoid looping redirects:

remove_filter('template_redirect', 'redirect_canonical');

In this case you should change the disclaimer. At the moment it says that only repeating events from Google are not supported. In my case, the ICS is from Microsoft.

I only have 2.0.0 available, which does not have the “Fetch & Import Type” option. Since I could fix the problem myself, I currently do not plan to upgrade.
