Hi there,

I’ve been trying to follow your tutorial ”How to use your own custom template for eventON events page” but I’m unable to get it working with the Uncode theme.

What I’ve tried:

  1. Created /wp-content/themes/uncode-child/eventon/archive-ajde_events.php
  2. Copied the Uncode page.php structure as suggested in your tutorial
  3. Attempted to use EVO()->archive_page(); but got this error;
  1. Used both ChatGPT and Claude AI to help understand the code structure – they couldn’t figure it out either

My setup:

  • EventON version:
  • Uncode theme (child theme active)
  • The archive page URL is: rachelb155.sg-host.com/activites/
  • I use WP akery and Contentblock to create the page. Contentblock are used for Headers (title) I let the EventON code for the rest of the page.

What I need:

  • A working example of archive-ajde_events.php for the Uncode theme
  • Clarification on which EventON function/method to call in the archive template
  • Or specific instructions on what code from page.php should be kept/modified

You can access by FTP to the

  1. My current archive-ajde_events.php file
  2. The Uncode theme page.php file for reference
  3. À

Could you please provide specific guidance for integrating with the Uncode theme? Your tutorial seems to assume knowledge of which EventON functions to call, but this isn’t documented clearly.

Also for the SINGLE EVENT it’s the same thing I can’t make it work: https://rachelb155.sg-host.com/activites/seances-dinformation-petites-creances-10292025-4/

Thank you for your help!

Best regards, Rachel

Sorry about that Troy, would you mind sharing how these events are assigned to the user? is it via each event? or are they events created by that user?

Hello Vincent, thank you very much for your kind message and letting us know of the issues. We have released a new version that resolve these issues. I added few appearance options, hoping to expand those in the future 🙂

Artem, Thank you for all your help.  Yes, I have now gone in and changed the max number of RSVPs for every event on our website.  This is not a true solution, but a workaround which isn’t the best. I want to add that when I go to RSVP to events the number never shows up.  It’s in a ghost font.  If you click on the + button, you still don’t see anything in a normal shade or black. It stays in a faint/ghost mode.  Does that make sense?  I think this is part of the problem.  People keep pressing 1111..to get it to show up and then they give up and hit submit.  The people using this website, myself included, are older and our eyes aren’t as sharp.  I can barely see the numbers.  This happens on my desktop as well as my phone.  Why are the numbers not showing up? Thanks again for your help. Amy

Here’s a screenshot of our actual form. I’m referring to ”Send us your event” and ”We’ll review it…”. I’ve tried going to the settings and changing the action user form header text and subheader text, but what I put in those fields doesn’t change what’s on our actual form.

Thank you for your help –

K

Hello,

I cannot check your website because of modal window that asks for login/pass. Could you check?

Please also make sure to update EventON, RSVP and Waitlist add-on.
