Ok, but that is not really “required” then.

Because the system gives them a default value and nobody has to change the field value.

Required is, when somebody has to change the default value of the dropdown or another field to another value. So, that the default value is just a placeholder.

We had another text in the dropdown as first value and that was immediately the first chosen value and users forget to change it.

And checkbox has to be YES, NO won’t be accepted.
