Hi Ashan,
great to hear that version 1.3 is now live — thank you for the update.
We tested it today, and we’re happy to confirm that duplicating seat maps finally works again.
However, we’ve encountered several new issues that are quite concerning to us.
When trying to use a more complex seat plan on a mobile device (e.g., an iPhone), we noticed that there is no option to zoom using two fingers, which makes it nearly impossible to operate the seat map efficiently on mobile. The small “+” and “–” buttons for zooming are difficult to use, especially when trying to select specific seats.
Other seat map tools offer a much more intuitive user experience, particularly on mobile – for example, by using the full screen width and reducing unnecessary margins, which helps with clarity and usability.
Another major issue: When booking seats for a larger group (e.g., a school class with 30 students using reduced-price variations), it’s currently necessary to select and add each seat individually. This is not only extremely time-consuming, but almost unusable on mobile. A multi-seat selection or batch option would be a huge improvement here.
Additionally, the pricing structure is confusing. Prices can be set on multiple levels — row settings, individual seat settings, variation settings — but in practice it’s unclear which price actually applies in the frontend. This will likely be confusing for customers as well. A simplified and more transparent pricing logic would be very welcome.
We are definitely happy that the core duplication issue is resolved — that’s a big step forward. But usability and backend management still leave much to be desired.
At the very least, we would strongly suggest implementing mobile pinch-to-zoom support as a priority. Otherwise, mobile users will struggle to interact with the seat map at all.
Thanks again for your continued support — we hope you’ll be able to address these next challenges soon.
Best regards,
Alex
