Make sure to clear cache when you update. We have tested many times with duplicating events with seats and it works perfectly, even with your seat data it worked. 

Another alternative, you can try now is, export seat data and import. It should work in a new way of processing seat data as chunks as oppose to full data set.

Please go to EventON > EventTop > set Select Default Calendar EventTop Style to Colorful with gap between events.

Now each event will start using Event Color from Edit Event page.
